Conducting business on the Internet presents a number of challenges. Of great significance is competition. There are literally millions of websites which the Internet surfer can land on so one of the most important things you can do is to make their visit to your site memorable.

Why do you want to make your website memorable? You want to be memorable because you want them to come back often and tell their friends about it. So how do you do this? You do this by adding a logo to your website.

The Time You Have to Impress is Limited

The average website visitor takes only a second or two to decide to stay on your site and look around. The image you project on your website will either grab their attention or not. If not, then you have lost a potential customer.

Grab Their Attention is with a Memorable Website Logo

Your website should be ‘dressed for success’. No matter what you are selling, you will want to do your very best to impress your visitor. Ultimately, the impression will be re-evaluated according to the service and value you provide but first you need to get their attention.

  • A logo represents your company, business and products
  • A logo is a graphic design and should be catchy
  • A logo can be text rather than graphic but should also be catchy

Many now famous logos weren’t always that way. What the logo comes to mean and represent is the quality and service your business provides. A graphic or text logo is merely a representation of that value and is something your customers come to identify with your business.

Let’s look at McDonalds® as an example.  Everyone on the planet knows about the ‘golden arches’…the golden letter M. But when this company first started out, the golden arches meant nothing.

It wasn’t until later that customers experienced their meals and came to understand that the golden arches meant fast food, and good hamburgers.  McDonalds® was a pioneer in fast food and when you see the golden arches you know they represent consistently good, fast food.

The Importance of Having a Website Logo

Having a logo on your website will help visitors recognize your site on future visits. Whether or not this recognition is good or bad depends on the value you deliver. This comes after people experience your site and products or services.

Having a website logo will add to your site’s credibility and assist you in differentiating yourself from the competition by having a website that is ‘dressed for success’.

Here are a couple logos we have designed for our clients with their brand personality in mind.
